Laurence Lascary began her career in the audiovisual sector in 2004. After studying management, she earned a Master’s degree in Marketing and Distribution in the European Audiovisual Industry from the Sorbonne and INA (the French National Audiovisual Institute). She went on to work for companies such as StudioCanal and Unifrance (New York office).

In 2008, she founded De l’Autre Côté du Périph’ with the aim of shifting the narrative around working-class neighborhoods—highlighting the potential for success and helping residents feel empowered.

She received the Envie d’Agir Social Entrepreneurship Prize in 2009 (selected from 2,000 entries) and the Grand Prix Talents des Cités – Espoir Banlieue in 2008. In 2011, she launched the Journée des Jeunes Producteurs Indépendants (Young Independent Producers Day), and between 2012 and 2013, she served as president of the Fédération des Jeunes Producteurs Indépendants (FJPI).

In February 2018, Laurence was named a Chevalier of the National Order of Merit for her contribution to promoting French cinema across all territories. That same year, she became co-president of the Collectif 50/50, which advocates for gender equality in the audiovisual industry. She has since joined the Ministry of Culture’s Equality Committee and serves on the board of the Foundation for the Memory of Slavery.

Over the span of 13 years, Laurence has produced 40 short films, 5 documentaries, and 2 feature films: L’Ascension, directed by Ludovic Bernard, which drew over one million admissions and won both the Jury and Audience Prizes at the Alpe d’Huez Festival, and Partir?, a documentary by Mary-Noël Niba released on October 13, 2021. DACP has also partnered with Adami to produce the 2022 edition of Talents Adami Cinéma.
