Gloria, Lili, and Amir are rehearsing a Noh play under the strict direction of Master Hiro. The premiere is just a few hours away. Amir is struggling to concentrate because of the incessant sound of a slamming door, Lili’s uncomfortable position on stage is making it difficult for her to perform, and Gloria, the master’s devoted admirer, is suffering from a knee injury. Nothing is going right, and the master has disappeared. He is locked inside his dressing room, from which thick smoke is billowing.
