A labor dispute erupts behind the scenes at a renowned restaurant. Undocumented kitchen workers and servers, systematically employed as temporary staff, launch a wildcat strike in an effort to obtain legal status. In the midst of the crisis, the manager must rely on the employees who remain to get through the lunch service.
